The whiplash timeline at A&M is wild. Going from celebrating Hispanic-Serving Institution status to completely forbidden discourse in under a year shows how fast institutional memory can be erased when political winds shift. I saw something similiar happen at a mid-sized company where leadership changed and prior DEI initiatives got quietly memory-holed. The framing of "who counts" questions across different scales (Aggie, Texan, American) really nails what's at stake here.

Texas A&M has been on our watchlist for a while because it has historically received significant funding from the Qatari government, totaling over $100 million in research funds (and roughly $76 million annually to operate a campus in Doha). And now there's state and federal interference in classrooms. Until the average American voter can discern any ill effects from this, I predict that nothing will change. The changes, including impact on students, will be subtle, but we should keep an eye on these schools to see what happens.

It’s an extremely scary scenario for the bots to be talking amongst themselves.

What’s next?

Although on the flip side, maybe these bots can figure a way to get rid of Trump and his criminal friends once and for all.

What's happening at TAMU is disgusting and moving like a freight train. The public are only getting the highlights. Faculty and students are living on edge. It's terrible.
