Kimmel was not comedy in the show that brought on the suspension or the show that he returned on. I didn't laugh. What jokes exactly did you laugh at? Unless you laughed at his insult joke against Cruz. Was that the level of humor befitting the budget of ABC?
Instead, Kimmel twists partisan attacks into the form of jokes. He wants the audience to feel good about themselves. That they're part of the good guys--protectors of free speech and non-authoritarian. Spiteful jokes are not humor in my book. I don't believe they are in yours.
There is no free speech on network TV. That's completely absurd. Do you REALLY BELIEVE that Dave? If there is, how was Kimmel being helpful by calling out some "MAGA crowd". Who is that exactly? It's not humor to pull us together. It's humor to get democratic candidates elected. The same party that continues to sit by while our bombs destroy people's home and bury children in the rubble.
