Yes, the comments above about the protest vote come off very one-sided. What about the murder, kidnapping etc. going on in Palestine right now against civilians? And the decades of apartheid before it?

Israel is on the offensive, they have overwhelmingly more military power than Hamas, and they have disrupted them to the point that Hamas doesn't represent an immediate threat, at least not one that justifies the killing of 30,000 civilians.
Hamas didn't kill more than 1% of their population. I don't see what Hamas has to agree to in order for the killing of civilians to stop.
